    We'll begin the day at Healesville Sanctuary, where you'll have approximately three hours to explore beautiful bushland habitats and discover iconic Australian animals including koalas, kangaroos, wombats, platypus, echidnas, dingoes and Tasmanian devils.

    Winery tasting and lunch

    After your wildlife adventure, we'll head to one of our selected Yarra Valley wineries for a tasting and lunch. Your tasting is included in the tour price; lunch is purchased directly at the venue.

    One final indulgent stop before heading back to Melbourne.

Yes. Your Makin' Tracks tour includes entry to Healesville Sanctuary, so you can simply arrive and enjoy your day.
How long do we spend at the Sanctuary?
We allow approximately three hours at Healesville Sanctuary, giving you plenty of time to explore the trails, see Australia's incredible wildlife and catch some of the daily keeper talks and presentations.
Can I book a koala encounter?
Yes. Koala Experiences can be booked as an optional extra when available. They are subject to availability and an additional fee, and can be selected at booking.
Is lunch included?
Lunch isn't included in your tour price. After your time at the Sanctuary, we'll take you to one of our selected Yarra Valley wineries for a tasting and lunch. The tasting is included in your tour price; lunch is purchased directly at the venue on the day.
What time do we leave and return to Melbourne?
The tour departs from Spring Street, central Melbourne at 8:45am. We expect to arrive back in Melbourne at approximately 6:00pm, depending on traffic and the timing of the day's stops.
Is Healesville Sanctuary accessible for people with mobility needs?
Healesville Sanctuary has accessible paths, toilets and facilities, and accessible parking is available close to the entrance. However, the Sanctuary is a large outdoor site with some sloping and uneven paths, so guests with mobility concerns should consider their individual requirements and contact us before booking if they have specific needs.

A little taste of Italy in the Yarra Valley.

Alongside classic Yarra Valley favourites, Soumah specialises in Northern Italian varieties including Nebbiolo, Pinot Grigio and Brachetto. Add beautiful vineyard views and an Italian-inspired restaurant, and you have a memorable stop on the trail.

Exact venues may vary depending on availability. Wine tastings are included where specified on each tour.

06Lunch stop

Good food is part of the journey.

We'll take a break from the tastings for a relaxed Yarra Valley lunch at one of our favourite local venues. Think generous food, beautiful surroundings and plenty of time to sit back, enjoy the company and soak up the day.

07Final stop

A seriously sweet stop.

We'll make one final indulgent stop at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie before heading back to Melbourne. Handmade chocolate creations sit alongside artisan ice cream, decadent desserts and rich hot chocolates. Watch the chocolatiers at work, explore the showroom, enjoy the beautiful grounds and, most importantly, sample something delicious along the way.
